This weekend we’re congregating in Oxford for the latest Residential Workshop as part of the MA.  The module we are currently studying is entitled “Crisis and renewal: Labour movement organisational change and internationalism: Internal issues” and the weekend is split into three distinct parts.

On day one we look at the changing cultures, strategies and leadership styles of unions.  The second day we are concerned with gendering and diversifying leadership within unions.  And on the final day we will consider new models of union coordination.  Being interested in leaderless movements with horizontal structures I’m looking forward to the discussion and lectures on these areas.

A number of us will be tweeting as often as we can.  You can follow me via @campaignbeard and our course has a Twitter feed which is @RuskinMA12.  We also use the hashtag #RuskinMA.
